The Japanese government is going to negotiate with Taiwan, China, Korea for easing business traveler entry restrictions in the middle of July. Brunei and Myanmar are also taking consideration. To restart the business trip, the prevention policy is the first one to be discussed and Taiwan is in the priority one to do the negotiation.

Coronavirus screening will be conducted to keep infections from spreading into or out of Japan. Travelers leaving the country will need to undergo a test and submit an itinerary. Another PCR diagnostic test will be required at the airport upon returning, and the government will encourage the use of a contact-tracing app.

The first travel restriction has been eased from June, the Japanese government allows 250 business travelers from Vietnam, Thailand, Australia, and New Zealand to enter Japan per day. The government may ease the entry restriction for international students and tourists soon.
