The Japanese government and the Vietnamese government agreed to ease entry restrictions at the beginning of June and the first flight finally took off on June 25th. The flight took off from Narita Airport and only 150 business-related passengers could travel this time. All of the passengers were asked to wear protective clothing and mask during the flight.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, they are adjusting the entry restriction with the Japanese government. As of earlier this week, Japan had an entry ban in place for 111 countries and regions, with foreign travelers that have been to any of the areas within 14 days of their arrival being turned away.
Japan is now in talks with Australia, New Zealand and Thailand to mutually ease travel restrictions on the condition that travelers test negative for COVID-19 before departure and upon arrival as well as submit an itinerary detailing where they will visit during their stay.
