The Japanese government announced all of the restrictions are lifted on Friday 22. There is no more business restriction and people can go cross prefectural borders from now on to boost the country’s economic activities that had been slowed by the pandemic. Although concerns remain over a potential second wave of infections, people can’t wait to back to normal.

Most other businesses had already begun operating under previous steps. Restaurants are allowed to return business as normal with the lifting of the government request that shortens opening hours. Although the business is restarting, the rule of service for preventing virus spread still remains.

The loosening of restrictions comes despite the capital still recording daily new confirmed cases, with more than 90 people in total returning positive coronavirus tests from Monday to Wednesday. People still have to pay attention and focus on social distance for returning to normal life.
