This will allow people to travel and reintroduce freedom of movement between all states within the Schengen area without restriction. Restrictions will also be lifted for citizens with rights of free movement from non-Schengen states, such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Cyprus.
The Federal Council aims to lift all travel restrictions and restore full free movement of persons to and from all Schengen states by 6 July.
