Irish Prime Minister, Leo Varadkar, has rejoined the medical register as a doctor to help the health service during the COVID 19 crisis once a week, from the spokesman. Dr. Varadkar was a practicing doctor for 7 years, working as a junior doctor in St James’s Hospital and Connolly Hospital in Dublin before becoming a politician.

“Many of his family and friends are working in the health service,” the spokesman explained. “He wanted to help out even in a small way.” Mr. Varadkar will assist by providing phone assessments, the first way that HSE speaks to potential patients who may have been exposed to the virus.
