The impact of the pandemic on global logistics of cross border e-commerce.

United States:

The biggest online marketplace, eBay, began banning the sale of medical face masks, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes. More than 20,000 products were removed from the shop. Amazon and Facebook also ban ads of those items for getting exploitation from Coronavirus fears.

Italy:

The first country sealed off entire towns in Europe. Italy’s freight flows has stopped all import-export activity. Italy eBay prohibits the sale of alcohol gel and other disinfection products, as well as surgical N90, N95, N99, N100, FFP1, FPP2, FPP3 masks.

France:

The French-Italian border has been closed to control Coronavirus spread, France might be the second one to seal country. France eBay also bans face masks and disinfection products.

United Kingdom:

The people of the UK were not paying serious attention to the Coronavirus problem. When the virus hit Italy, the government started to make policy and encouraged people to work from home on March 14th. However, the masks and other products were already in the short supply due to lots of sellers purchased goods from Italy.
