The Japanese government is considering re-opening its borders to people from selected countries, including Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, and NZ, which have low levels of COVID-19 infections confirmed cases. Lifting the ban for the business visitors is being eyed as a first step and Japan will negotiate conditions with four nations.

Those countries are members of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP-11) and have a strong trade relationship with Japan. The government is considering allowing business travelers to enter Japan and they should be accepted two separate tests upon departure from their home country and arrival in Japan, the Asahi Shimbun reported.
