Australia- Coronavirus is spreading in the world, and the Maritime Union of Australia(MUA) warns that the government should pay attention to strengthening the prevention of import and export shipping enterprise. Otherwise, the container port and container terminal will be a serious gaping hole for the outbreak of Coronavirus.

The National Officer, Mich-Elle Myers, pointed out that at least 166 Covid-19 cases have been linked to the ship. There are now dozens of ships sitting off the coast of Australia, including 11 docked in Sydney Harbour or anchored off Sydney and Wollongong, leaving crews stranded indefinitely, with little information available on how many have already been infected.

The Maritime union said the Australian government needed to be doing more to ensure crew members were safe from the virus.
